Description
Commonly known as widow’s tears or simply tinantia, Tinantia erecta is an uncommon annual that reaches anywhere from 2 to 4 feet tall, with rich green leaves and succulent stems topped with clusters of pink blooms from mid- or late summer to frost. The blooms open in the morning and usually disappear by midday; the handsome foliage provides a beautiful presence whether the blooms are open or not. Sun (especially if the soil is moist) to partial shade. Annual in most areas (the plants often self-sow); perennial in frost-free climates.
Collected in August and September 2023. At least 15 seeds. Shipping to US addresses only.
