Thalictrum flavum subsp. glaucum (Yellow Meadow Rue) [20 Seeds]

Germination Information: I recommend these seeds for experienced seed-sowers only, because they can require some experimentation and patience. One option is to sow (barely covered with growing medium) in October through January and set the pot outdoors, so the seeds can germinate when conditions are right in spring. I have also read that they can be started indoors, but germination may be slow and erratic, and the seeds may end up needing an artificial chilling period (in a refrigerator) of about a month if there is no apparent sprouting after a few weeks.

Note that this information will not appear on the seed packet you receive.

Yellow meadow rue (Thalictrum flavum subsp. glaucum, also known as T. speciosissimum) is a beauty in the border, with clumps of ferny, gray-blue foliage that send up 3- to 4-foot-tall stems topped with fluffy, yellow blooms in early to midsummer. Full sun (especially if the soil is on the moist side) to partial shade. Perennial; Zones 4 to 8 or 9.

No good seeds in 2022, due to lack of rain during the ripening period, I assume. I hope to collect in August 2023. At least 20 seeds.

Please read the germination information as well before ordering.
