Description

I remember when it was so exciting to find out about one strain of variegated tomato. Now I know of about 10 named varieties, and there are likely many more. This one was passed along to me by a customer who appreciates unusual variegates and I thought it was worth offering here so more gardeners can try it. The leaves and stems of the sturdy, indeterminate plants show a good amount of white variegation, particularly in spring to midsummer. (The markings can be variable during the growing season, from plant to plant, and from leaf to leaf, as with other variegated strains). The small- to medium-sized fruits are very attractive too—a purplish red with irregular, deep green striping—and have a delicious, rich flavor. Full sun. Annual.

Collected in mid to late August 2023. At least 10 seeds. Note that a few seedlings from each packet may end up being solid green. I suggest sowing all of the seeds and discarding any seedlings that are not true to type. Shipping to US addresses only.
