Description
‘Sunny Side Up’ pokeweed is a dramatically different foliage form of ordinary American pokeweed (Phytolacca americana), with bright yellow leaves. It does share some traits with the straight species, including stout, top-branching, reddish pink stems usually 5 to 7 feet tall; chains of white flowers that mature to black berries; and a tendency to self-sow. Though the species is a US native, it is considered invasive in some areas. It also has some toxic properties if eaten. So please, do more research before buying if you have any concerns about these potential issues and do not order these seeds if you have any doubts about them. Full sun to partial shade. Zones 4 or 5 to 10.
Collected in October 2023. At least 10 seeds. Shipping to US addresses only.
Please read the germination information as well before ordering.
