Germination Information: I recommend these seeds for experienced seed-starters only, because they need a different sowing routine than most annuals. Because this species germinates best in cool conditions (around 55°F), the easiest approach is to sow anytime from mid fall to early spring, about 1/8″ deep, either directly in the ground or in a pot you leave outdoors; the seeds will then germinate when conditions are right. Once you get them growing, the plants are likely to self-sow, providing seedlings for the next year without further input from you.
