Nigella damascena ‘Miss Jekyll’ (Love-in-a-Mist) [30 Seeds]
$4.25
Germination Information: These seeds tend to grow best if you sow them outdoors in late fall to late spring, right where you’d like them to grow. Gently press them into the surface of prepared soil and keep the area moist to encourage sprouting.
A fall, winter, or very early spring sowing will likely bloom in late spring to early summer and produce mature seeds in midsummer. Sowing those as soon as they are ripe (when the pods are dry and the seeds inside are black) may produce seedlings that can bloom in fall. If they don’t have enough time to flower before cold weather, the plants are likely to overwinter and bloom vigorously in mid spring of the following year.

Description
‘Miss Jekyll’ love-in-a-mist (Nigella damascena) grows in bushy, 12- to 18-inch-tall clumps of feathery green foliage with summer flowers in shades of blue. The flowers mature into tan- and brown-striped seedpods, which you can cut for fresh arrangements or dry for craft use or dried-flower bouquets. Or, let them dry completely on the plants, then crumble the pods over beds and borders to release the seeds where you would like to have love-in-a-mist growing the following year. Full sun to light shade. Annual.
Collected in July 2022. At least 30 seeds.
Please read the germination information as well before ordering.
