Nicotiana suaveolens (Australian Tobacco) [25 Seeds]

$4.25

Germination Information: Sow the tiny seeds indoors in late winter to mid spring and set in a warm, bright place for germination. I don’t recommend direct-sowing because the seeds are so very small and could easily get covered up or washed away. Once you get the plants to flower, though, you may find self-sown seedlings.

Note that this information will not appear on the seed packet you receive.

Description

Australian tobacco (Nicotiana suaveolens) is also known as austral tobacco or sweet-scented tobacco. This hard-to-find annual produces rosettes of rich green leaves and slender, sparsely branched stems typically 2 to 3 feet tall, with dainty, nodding, tubular flowers that are white inside and often lightly blushed with pink or purple on the outside. The flowers are fragrant when they open in the evening, from midsummer into fall. Full sun to partial shade. Annual.

Harvested in September and October 2020. At least 25 seeds.

Please read the germination information as well before ordering.
