Description
This green-flowered strain originated in my first garden well over 20 years ago, in a spot where I was growing Nicotiana alata ‘Lime Green’ close to Langsdorff’s tobacco (Nicotiana langsdorffii). The following year’s volunteers mostly had the intense green color of the latter but the larger flower size of the former, with bloom shapes somewhere between the two. I thought they were neat and donated the seed to the HPS/MAG Seed Exchange program that year as “Green Mix”, for want of a better name. Then the next year, someone donated it back as ‘Ondra’s Green Mix’. When I moved to this property, I lost track of my seed stock, but fortunately, I was able to get the strain back through the Exchange. The plants typically reach 2 to 3 feet tall in good soil, with branching stems. Full sun to partial shade. Annual.
Harvested in August and September 2023. At least 30 seeds. Shipping to US addresses only.
