Hyacinth bean (Lablab purpureus [formerly Dolichos lablab]) is a vigorous twining, ornamental vine with three-part green leaves that are shaded with purple. Clusters of purplish pink flowers starting in mid- to late summer and continuing to frost develop into chunky magenta seedpods.
