Ipomoea quamoclit ‘Rosea’ (Cypress Vine) [10 Seeds]

Germination Information: I highly recommend carefully nicking the seeds and soaking them overnight before sowing to speed germination. Start the seeds indoors (1/4 to 1/2 inch deep) in warm, bright conditions in mid spring, or sow directly where you want them to grow after your last frost date. After the first year, you may find self-sown seedlings the following summer.

Cypress vine (Ipomoea quamoclit) is closely related to large-flowered morning glories but looks quite different, with feathery, green foliage and dainty, tubular blooms that have starry faces. I collected these seeds from a strain that produces rosy pink flowers. They should produce pink-flowered seedlings, but it’s possible that some white (or even red) ones might appear in the batch, because the plants were open-pollinated and I grow the white form too. Cypress vine is a vigorous, fast-growing, twining vine that can reach 10 feet or more on a large support. May self sow. Full sun. Annual.

Collected in October 2023. At least 10 seeds. Shipping to US addresses (except in Arkansas) only.

Please read the germination information as well before ordering.
