Ipomoea quamoclit ‘Alba’ (Cypress Vine) [10 Seeds]

Germination Information: I highly recommend carefully nicking the seeds and soaking them overnight before sowing to speed germination. Start the seeds indoors (1/4 to 1/2″ deep) in warm, bright conditions in mid-spring, or sow directly where you want them to grow after your last frost date. After the first year, you may find self-sown seedlings the following summer.

Note that this information will not appear on the seed packet you receive.

Cypress vine (Ipomoea quamoclit) is closely related to large-flowered morning glories but looks quite different, with feathery, green foliage and dainty, tubular blooms that have starry faces. I collected these seeds from a cypress vine plant that produced white flowers (‘Alba’). They should produce white-flowered seedlings, but there’s a small possibility that some pink (or even red) ones might appear in the batch, because the plants were open-pollinated and I grew the pink form too. Cypress vine is a vigorous, fast-growing, twining vine that can reach 10 feet or more on a large support. Full sun. Annual.

Collected starting in early July 2022. At least 10 seeds.

Again, cannot ship to AR.

Please read the germination information as well before ordering.
