Ceratotheca triloba ‘Alba’ (White South African Foxglove) [15 Seeds]

Germination Information: Start the seeds indoors in late winter to mid spring, just barely covered with growing medium, in a warm, bright place. These South African natives hate getting chilled, so keep them in a warm spot while they are growing. Set the seedlings outdoors once nights are consistently above 50°F or so. If you allow the seedpods to develop on the plant, you may find self-sown seedlings in that area next year.

Description

White South African foxglove (Ceratotheca triloba ‘Alba’) produces tubular, bright white flowers from midsummer to frost along the upper half of the stems. In some conditions, the plants stay a compact 2 to 3 feet tall; in other spots, they can reach 4 to 6 feet. They look right at home in a cottage-style garden or a mixed border among perennials and shrubs, offering the elegant look of a true foxglove for many months. Just so you know…this strain usually comes true from seed (with white flowers) but might also produce some purple-flowered plants. Full sun to light shade. Grown as an annual in most areas (perennial in Zones 9 and 10).

Harvested in September and October 2023. At least 15 seeds. Shipping to US addresses only.
