Description
As a long-time fan of ‘Cramer’s Burgundy’ cockscomb (Celosia argentea var. cristata or C. cristata), I had to try ‘Cramer’s Lemon Lime’ too. I would describe the color as a soft yellow, though; to my eye, it doesn’t have the lime-green coloration you see in some catalog photos. It produces velvety, crinkled heads of various sizes on 3- to 4foot-tall stems. ‘Cramer’s Lemon Lime’ makes a marvelous fresh cut flower (very pretty with peachy oranges, as well as blues, purples, and white), and it dries to a nice light yellow. Full sun. Annual.
Collected in August and September 2022. At least 20 seeds.
Please read the germination information as well before ordering.
