Description
‘Black Pearl’ pepper (Capsicum annuum) is prized for its ornamental qualities: its glossy, near-black leaves, small purple flowers, and shiny, clustered fruits that start out black and ripen to rich red. It’s not just a pretty face, though; if you can handle the heat, the fruits are edible, too: medium-hot when black to pretty powerful when red-ripe. The bushy plants typically reach about 18 inches tall and are gorgeous in containers as well as in beds and borders. Full sun. Annual in most climates.
Collected in September 2022. At least 12 seeds.
Please read the germination information as well before ordering.

These are just starting to set little peppers, and of the 2 plants i have, one is the most gorgeous ebony black and the other is green with some black splashes. Can’t wait to try the peppers. They grow easily and will definitely be a staple in future gardens, for color alone.
