Description
Amethyst flower (Browallia americana), also known as bush violet or Jamaican forget-me-not, is an uncommon but easy annual with white-eyed, medium to dark blue to purple-blue flowers that are small but plentiful. The blooms appear from early or midsummer until frost on branching plants that reach 12 to 18 inches tall. It makes an excellent addition to mixed borders and to container plantings. It can grow in full sun but also does very well in some shade. Amethyst flower is technically a tender perennial but is mostly grown as an annual.
Collected in September and October 2020. At least 25 seeds.
