Description
Broomsedge (Andropogon virginicus), also known as broomsedge bluestem, is a warm-season meadow grass that grows in narrow, upright clumps 3 to 5 feet tall, with tufts of silvery seeds and coppery orange foliage color in fall. The species is a U.S. native. I collected these seeds from wild plants in my meadow in Bucks County, PA. Full sun. Perennial; Zones 3 to 8.
Collected in October 2020. At least 30 seeds.
