Germination Information: I recommend these seeds only for patient gardeners who have experience with seeds that benefit from or require a chilling period. One option is to sow about 1/4 inch deep in late fall to midwinter and set the pot outdoors so they can get a natural chilling period and germinate in spring. Another option is to nick and/or soak (pour hot water over the seeds and let them sit for about 24 hours) before sowing in warm conditions. That’s how I started my original plants: I gave the seeds a 24-hour soak in water that started out hot, then sowed in warm conditions on January 20, and they started sprouting on February 6. Your experience may vary.
