What fun! Yes, I know about that trial and error thing, but I do think it will look great.

Too bad you don't live in CA. We have a native Elderberry that grows to 20 feet in a year or two... Interplant with some Ribes (6-7 feet in a year) and you're done...

<em>Thanks for stopping by, Town Mouse! Uh...20 feet in a year? Wow. I could probably replicate that here in PA with a bamboo, but I think I'm better off as is.

Dear Nancy,

Loved reading your story and learned about you from the NY Times. I'd love to see it up close and personal. Could you give me directions from Quakertown?

Janice

Beautiful work! You will really enjoy this. By the way, there's no such thing as "perfect!" It's only in the eye of the beholder. However, when we find a place that makes us happy, that's About Perfect! ;-) I love where I am right now. I've been given opportunity to learn a whole new set of plant vocabulary! (That of "Shade!")

<em>I understand totally, Shady. I went from mostly shade to totally sun when I moved here, and it was like having to learn a whole new language: new plants, new combinations, new techniques, new skills. It wasn't easy, but it was fun!
